Perineorrhaphy (Perineoplasty)

The perineum is the visible area between the vagina and the rectum. This is where most cuts and tears occur during childbirth. Perineorrhaphy, also known as perineoplasty, creates a more normal appearance of the perineum region by removing excess skin, removing loose skin tags, and then suturing and tightening underlying muscles. This procedure takes approximately 30 minutes to perform. This procedure takes an hour minimum to perform.
